THREE PAIR OF FINE SINO-MONGOLIAN SILVER PRESENTATION CENSER AND COVER MOUNTED WITH JADE PLAQUES, CORAL, TURQUOISE, LAPIS-LAZULI AND AMBER,
of oblong openwork form supported on four stylized dragon-head feet, the lower section elaborately embossed, chased and engraved with undulating dragons amidst a smoky ground and inset with four oval plaques decorated with phoenixes, the plain upper border decorated on each side with dragons with teeth bared and scrolling tendril whiskers, the domed cover mounted with large pieces of turquoise and coral and an ovoid amber bead flanked by confronted dragons. Circa late 19th century.
